Coach N. Fortner Named Big 8 Wrestling Coach of the Year
Launch the media gallery 1 playerBig 8 Girls Wrestling Coaches across the conference have voted and have selected Coach Nathan Fortner as the 2023-24 Big 8 Girls Wrestling Coach of the Year. This honor was decided on by area coaches following the conference tournament where the Cassville High School Women's Wrestling Team finished in second place in the conference.
"I am very excited for Coach Fortner, his coaching staff and our girls wrestling team," stated Lance Parnell, Cassville R-IV Activities Director. "This is a well deserved honor that recognizes the success of our girls program, the hard work the ladies have put in and the leadership of the coaching staff."
Fortner joined the wildcat staff in 2016. In addition to coaching both the boys and girls high school wrestling teams, he is also a football coach and teaches physical education and health.
