Board of Education Selects Klewer, Wildcat Alumni and District Educator, as Assistant Principal and Behavior Interventionist
The Cassville R-IV Board of Education has selected wildcat alumni and current district teacher and coach, Mr. Dylan Klewer, to serve as the Assistant Principal and Behavior Interventionist for Eunice Thomas Elementary and Cassville Intermediate beginning July 1. This news comes after the current assistant principal, Mr. Caleb Wheeler, was promoted to Cassville Intermediate Principal for the 2024-25 school year.
Klewer began his career in education in 2021 at Cassville High School (CHS) serving as a special education teacher. He is certified in cross-categorical Special Education K-12, high school biology and general science. His contributions to Cassville Schools extend beyond the classroom. He is also currently an assistant football and baseball coach.
“We are excited to promote Dylan, a hometown teacher whose deep involvement in the community, coupled with his remarkable success as a special education teacher, embodies our commitment to excellence,” said Dr. Merlyn Johnson, Cassville R-IV Superintendent. “Dylan’s passion for school improvement and unwavering willingness to learn make him an invaluable addition to the administrative team.”
While Klewer is a 2016 graduate of Cassville High School, most recently he has earned his Master of Educational Leadership from Northwest Missouri State. In 2021, he completed his Bachelor of Biological Science, Human and Molecular Biology from College of the Ozarks.
“I have been incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity to reside and contribute to a community that consistently prioritizes the well-being of its students,” said Klewer. “Throughout my tenure at Cassville, I have had the privilege of collaborating with exceptional educators and school leaders who have played a pivotal role in shaping my professional journey. Cassville holds a special place in my heart, and I am dedicated to furthering the success of the district in this role.”
